Speaker bio
Julia provides consulting services to improve wire fraud resilience and growth for companies involved in real estate settlements. Her clients include title companies, software vendors, and expert networks. She also represents the title insurance underwriter, Stewart, to independent Colorado title agencies.
Since 2015, Julia has been passionate about improving the the real estate ecosystem. Her roles have included: Director at wire fraud security company, CertifID; Senior Manager at Redfin’s title company, Title Forward; and real estate agent and trainer at Redfin. Fraudsters spoofed Julia to home buyers she represented in 2016, who nearly lost their life savings. This close call ignited her passion for keeping consumers and industry participants safe from this growing threat.
Prior to the US, Julia lived in Australia, where she worked as a management consultant and mechanical engineer. Julia holds a Master of Business Administration (Australian Graduate School of Management) and Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) (Queensland University of Technology).
"Julia recently taught a Continuing Education class on Wire Fraud for our agents, and it was truly exceptional. The session was highly informative, with Julia presenting complex information in a clear and engaging manner. Our agents were actively engaged throughout the class, demonstrating the effectiveness of her teaching approach. I am confident that this knowledge will greatly benefit our team in safeguarding our clients. I look forward to collaborating with Julia again on future Continuing Education opportunities."
